Clicksor.com Inc. is an online contextual advertising network based in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The network is launched by its sister company Yesup Ecommerce Solutions Inc., which was founded in 1999. Clicksor was ranked within the top 100 on Alexa in October 2008. It is once again ranked within the top 100 on Alexa in May 2009.

Features

Through the use of the Contextual Technology, advertisers can publish their text or rich media advertisements on relevant affiliated websites that are most well-matched with pre-selected targeted keywords or channels. By the same token, publishers are displaying the most relevant ads on their sites using the same keyword-based technology.

Clicksor has 900 million ad impressions per month and 100,000 publisher websites. They allow their clients to input unlimited keywords and choose from over 150 channels. Clicksor offers their services in a variety of ad formats, such as inline text links, text banners, graphic and rich media banners, and pop-under ads. Cost metrics available include CPC, CPV, and CPM.
Clicksor advertising service offers international distribution by countries and cities.
Image ads can be one of several different Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) standard sizes.
The minimum payment requirement for advertiser is $20. Payments to their publishers are made on a net-15 basis with a minimum payout of $50.
Clicksor has a live support feature which allows users to interact directly with representatives from different departments during office hours.

Targeting

In addition to keyword content matching, in recent years, Clicksor has introduced several optional forms of targeting to compliment its existing services.

After an account has been created, Advertisers are to choose between 4 cost metrics to create their campaigns. Each cost metric is offered with its own unique ad type. CPC (cost per click) supports text and image banners, with a variety of banners sizes. There is a minimum bid of $0.05 per click as of September 2008.

CPM (cost per thousand) supports rich media banners, including, but not limited to, JavaScript and HTML. The minimum bid is $0.50 per thousand visitors.

CPV (cost per view) supports Full Page Pop-under advertisement. Minimum bid is $0.004 per view. CPI (cost per inter-ad) for a full page ad will display a minimum of 5 seconds between Publisher pages. Minimum bid is $0.009 per view.

The system also allows advertisers to choose which geographic location they would like to target, including targeting at country level and the city level. In addition, the system also offers a reporting area where advertisers can generate logs to perform analysis. To help prevent click fraud, the system includes a click validation system and is audited by a dedicated in-house traffic control team.

Recently, Clicksor opened up a Time Targeting area in the account, where advertisers can choose the life of a campaign hourly.

There is also a RON (run of network) Targeting feature.

Network Distribution

Traffic sent to Clicksor advertiser campaigns are made up of Clicksor’s own inventory of Publishers as well as affiliate Partner networks.

Website owners that would like to monetize their traffic can sign up for an account and are given the ability to place Clicksor ad code to display on their sites. Based on the advertisers’ selections of keywords, ads are distributed to these websites based on their site content and relevancy, and ads are matched to the appropriate websites. Clicksor Publishers can place and assortment of text/image banners, rich media banners, full page pop-unders and interstitial ad codes that best suit the design of their website.

Clicksor Support Team

Clicksor has an allocated support team that operates during the company’s business hours. The Clicksor support team runs on an admin panel where they are able to move from account to account without the need of providing a login and password, similarly to most customer support services. The team is split into an advertiser support and a publisher support. In addition, Clicksor Support can take inbound calls for assistance to offer suggestions and support for active accounts, but their availability will be limited depending on the volume of advertisers that need assistance. The support team will monitor accounts daily and will perform optimization of the campaign depending on the needs of the campaign or Publisher.
